Catholic Charities East Bay is doing excellent work helping vulnerable communities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties through multiple programs. When we began working with them, they needed support to best convey their impact to donors and the local community. The nonprofit was approaching a 90-year anniversary and had decreased funding after COVID-19, despite a continuous increase in need post-pandemic.
Rebranding: Our graphic design team created a fresh 90th anniversary logo to celebrate this milestone, while remaining recognizable. We established fresh branding guidelines to integrate consistency into future projects.
Videography: Our award-winning videographers shot and edited event videography, CEO messages, and staff testimonials to be repurposed across all platforms. We also scripted, filmed, and produced their new corporate video, which simply explains all their programs and highlights their team and Oakland office.
Photography: PRxDigital joined their Annual Donor Appreciation Luncheon for event photography and professional headshots.
Graphic Design: Using the new branding and photos, we designed pull up banners, brochures, event posters, and appeal letters – all with a consistent look and feel.
Social Media: We established a consistent posting schedule with appealing posts related to current programs and events. Our team oversaw content creation, management, and analytics. This included designing graphics, writing captions, responding to comments and direct messaging, and drawing conclusions on performance from monthly analytic reports to adjust our strategy.
Newsletter: We orchestrated a monthly newsletter with a clean, new look. Our focus was to keep the content concise, relevant, and compelling.
Targeted Networking: Catholic Charities East Bay needed new board members and sponsors, so we leveraged our connections and made some calls to potentially interested parties.
Crisis Management: After Hamas threatened Catholic Charities across the United States, we jumped into action. Our team strategically crafted messages to staff and supporters to manage the narrative, and developed back-up plans in case of any escalation.
Media Relations: Throughout our time working with Catholic Charities East Bay, we helped them get exclusive stories in the San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Business Times, KPIX CBS, and local radio. These stories were aimed at highlighting specific programs and staff that were relevant to the trending media topics, such as homelessness and immigration.
Event Planning: In anticipation of their 39th Annual golf classic, our team assisted in messaging for the event to attract more golfers. We designed flyers, posts, and emails, developed a strategy to increase registrations, and helped with day of logistics.
The open rate on e-newsletters soared to 47% once we stepped in. Our changes and techniques to get the right message in front of the right audience worked consistently.
We took their social media from irregular posts to consistent, aesthetically pleasing posts. In the first three months Facebook reach increased by 2.4k%, Instagram by 1.5k%. Impressions on Twitter increased 300% and LinkedIn 2.3k%.
Through direct pitches to our media connections, we helped Catholic Charities garner over $100,000 in publicity.
With our guidance, they met their registration goal and the Golf Classic had nearly 100 attendees.
