As founder and CEO of PRxDigital, Brenna has more than 40 years of communications experience in Silicon Valley collaborating with top business and government leaders. Brenna attracts talented staff and noteworthy clients. She’s helmed countless campaigns, utilizing branding, marketing, media relations and publicity as well as conceptual design and creative development, social media and videography. Brenna has conceived many major initiatives including Joint Venture: Silicon Valley and the VMC Foundation – the first non-profit foundation for a public hospital in the U.S. Brenna’s established relationships in the Valley, as well as throughout California and the U.S., prove invaluable for clients seeking introductions to key influencers. A member of Santa Clara University’s first undergraduate class that included women, Brenna received a bachelor’s degree in history and philosophy.

Vice President

Terry manages the PRxDigital team tracking staff duties to ensure the absolute best quality campaigns are developed and executed for clients. Terry writes proposals and identifies potential new business opportunities. She oversees the firm’s entire roster of clients ensuring their goals and expectations are not only met but exceeded. Prior to joining the agency, Terry worked as development and outreach manager for Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley. She also worked for Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital, where she served as a parent mentor and conducted marketing and fundraising. Additionally, she founded and owned Video Estate video production company. Terry received a bachelor’s degree in radio/television from San Jose State University.

Thuy oversees the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of PRxDigital. She sets comprehensive goals for performance and growth, and establishes policies that promote company culture and vision. Thuy supports new business development efforts and manages the agency’s digital and print clipping collection. Fluent in Vietnamese, she verifies the accuracy of Vietnamese language materials produced for clients, a key asset for the agency as San Jose now boasts the greatest number of Vietnamese residents in any U.S. City. Thuy received a bachelor’s degree in finance and information systems management from San Jose State University.

Bill Kugler

Senior VP

At PRxD, Bill is a communications specialist in message development and plays a major role in strategic planning and project management at PRxDigital.  He is a specialist in media relations and market outreach strategy.  He served as Public Information Officer (PIO) of the largest high school district in California (East Side Union in San Jose) where he was the deputy superintendent for more than eight years, supervising the operations of information systems, business services, human resources and student services. Bill is especially adept at navigating through complicated government contracts and reporting systems. Bill received his BA Degree in English and history as well as a MA in education from Santa Clara University.

Elisabeth Handler

Creative Director and Project Manager

With significant experience in all facets of public relations, Elisabeth serves as a creative director and project manager at PRxDigital, providing strategic planning and creative input to client initiatives and helping to inspire, manage and ensure accountability for our client work. 

Elisabeth has had more than 40 years of marketing communications experience in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, in agencies from boutique to international, for a national non-profit and as a public information officer for the City of San Jose. She has deep experience in health care, technology, consumer product and ethnic marketing, for clients such as Anheuser-Busch, Purina, Microsoft, and Blue Cross of California. 

An accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, she holds a B.A. in anthropology from Harvard and for 12 years she taught public relations at the graduate and undergraduate level at the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communications & Journalism.

 

Pam Kelly

Senior Account Manager

Pam is an accomplished marketing communications professional who, in her 30-year career, has honed a diverse range of skills and developed deep relationships in the Silicon Valley community. Pam excels at grassroots and multi-ethnic community outreach, cultivating relationships with multiple stakeholders including media, nonprofit organizations, foundations, small businesses, corporations and educational institutions. She is seasoned in media relations; managing digital and social media platforms; developing and executing traditional and social media marketing plans, public relations and advertising campaigns; and event coordination, including strategic planning and project management. Pam’s current clients at PRxD include Valley Medical Center Foundation, St. Francis Center of Redwood City, Coastal Kids Home Care, Presentation High School and Symbihom. She graduated from San Jose State University with a B. A. in Environmental Studies and a Minor in Health and Nutrition.

Account Executive

Briana Gallo is a San Jose native and an expert marketer and strategist. Briana has been a part of the PRxDigital team for nearly five years, and as an Account Executive at PRxDigital, she oversees several clients and develops plans to enhance their brands and meet each of their unique needs. Her experience in public relations, social media, email marketing, event planning, and graphic design brings great value to PRxDigital clients. She has previously held marketing roles with HBO Max, tech startups, and Cal Poly Admissions. Briana graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo summa cum laude with a degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing Management, and minoring in Spanish and Psychology.

Account Executive

Erin is an Account Executive at PRxDigital, managing digital marketing and public relations campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. Her expertise spans media relations, social media marketing, email marketing, event planning, project management and more. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, which provides her with a unique background of analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities. Erin brings perspective into crafting campaigns with a unique and data-based approach and blends scientific rigor with creative strategy that resonates with target audiences and delivers exceptional results.
Rachel Sumi

Account Manager

Rachel produces a variety of writing and communications projects for clients, including digital content, press releases, newsletters, annual reports, articles, op-eds, and research and policy documents. She has deep experience in content development and strategic messaging, and a clear, concise writing style. Rachel has a deadline mentality, and top-notch editorial and proofreading skills. She’s responsible for developing effective messaging, cultivating media contacts and placing articles in various media outlets. Rachel’s current roster includes Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley, Valley Medical Center Foundation, Toeniskoetter, Inc., along with various projects for Santa Clara County. She received a bachelor’s degree in political science from UC Davis.
Jeremiah Ysip

Video Content Specialist

Jeremiah is a producer, director, cinematographer and editor based in the Bay Area whose work has earned 11 NorCal Emmy Awards, including two Best in Cinematography NorCal Emmy Awards, multiple NorCal Emmy Nominations, three New York Film Festival finalist recognitions, three San Francisco Press awards, and has been twice recognized at the PromaxBDA LocalAwards. Jeremiah started covering the news in 2003, including at Univision and KPIX 5 – CBS Bay Area, before branching out into documentaries, commercials, film and features ranging from sports and food to lifestyle, and social issues.

Marilyn Nguyen

Marketing Design Associate

Marilyn is PRxDigital’s graphic designer/photographer. As a prominent photographer for influencers and content creators, her Instagram account boasts well over 50,000 followers. Marilyn channels her talent to create graphics for our clients’ social media, e-blasts/newsletters, and any print display needs such as banners, A-frames, posters, business cards, etc. Her photos at our press conferences and events create a stunning visual record for clients. She’s also adept at portrait photography and Japanese-style illustrations using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Prior to joining PRxDigital, Marilyn worked for Dainese Inc., a motorcycle apparel company. In that role, she launched marketing campaigns for racing trade shows along with marketing strategies, including eye-catching graphics, for nine Dainese retail stores across the U.S. Marilyn received a bachelor’s degree in business economics from University of California, Irvine.

Jennifer Spoerri

As a key member of PRxDigital’s media outreach team, Jennifer knows what makes for a good story. Her success comes from a deep understanding of the news and from cultivating long-term relationships with tech, healthcare, lifestyle and hard news reporters, editors and producers nationally and regionally. 

Her impressive record of placements for client companies and individuals include Modern Healthcare, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, CNN, CNBC, Marketplace, Fast Company, Business Insider, Reuters, Kaiser Health News, NPR, and Bloomberg News, among others. Many of these relationships span decades, and Ms. Spoerri regularly places thought leadership pieces in Modern Healthcare, McKnight’s, Becker’s, Fast Company, The Wall Street Journal, VentureBeat and TechCrunch.  

Jennifer majored in Political Science and Russian at Grinnell College and has a degree in Political Science from San Francisco State where remained on the Dean’s list for the duration of her time there.

Jamie Krakar

Web & Graphic Designer

Jamie is a web/graphic designer who is passionate about improving user experience and ensuring clear communication within every project. He specializes in building WordPress websites and creating marketing collateral with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Knowledgeable in SEO practices, Jamie develops websites that lead to increased traffic and brand exposure for clients through organic (unpaid) website search engine results. Jamie received a bachelor’s degree in English from UC Davis and an associate degree in web design from West Valley College.

Michael S. Malone

Communications Strategist

Michael S. Malone is one of the nation’s best-known technology writers. He has covered Silicon Valley and high-tech for more than 25 years, beginning with the San Jose Mercury News as the nation’s first daily high-tech reporter. His articles and editorials have appeared in such publications as The Wall Street Journal, the Economist and Fortune, and for two years he was a columnist for The New York Times. He was editor of Forbes ASAP, the world’s largest-circulation business-tech magazine, at the height of the dot-com boom. Malone is the author or co-author of a dozen books, notably the best-selling Virtual Corporation. Other titles include Infinite Loop: How Apple, the World’s Most Insanely Great Computer Company, Went Insane; Intellectual Capital; The Big Score; and Bill & Dave: How Hewlett and Packard Built the World’s Greatest Company.

Sue Schaefer

Project Specialist

A native New Yorker, Sue specialized in Event Marketing/Advertising at two major ad agencies in Manhattan prior to joining PRx in 2002. Her expertise in all aspects of event management, communications, and database development/maintenance, have made her an integral part of PRxD.  Sue has coordinated PRxD’s work on OSH’s 75th Founders’ Anniversary event, FEI-SV conference, Momentum for Mental Health Photojournalism Exhibit & Event, Cypress Semiconductor’s historic Annual Food Sculpture contest, and many non-profit and political fundraisers.  From creating custom invitee lists to arranging logistics for events including personal appearances by VIPs, including elected officials and celebrities in the sports, entertainment, and business sectors, Sue is the quintessential queen of exquisite planning and detailed follow-through. She is the “right-hand” person to PRxD’s Founder & CEO, Brenna Bolger.
